Renovation Builders Whangamatā: Home Renovations & Extensions

If your home no longer suits the way you live, renovating is often the better answer. We renovate, extend, re-clad and repair houses across Whangamatā, from one bathroom through to a full interior.

Local knowledge

Transform your home with builders who know this coast.

Local builders understand coastal conditions, council requirements, and the older housing stock common around Whangamatā. On this coast the condition behind the cladding matters as much as the drawings.

What we do

Residential renovations tailored to your home

We approach renovations with the same care as new builds. Every one is customised to suit the house, how you live in it, and what you plan to do with it.

How it runs

How a renovation runs with us

01

Site visit

Bryce walks the house with you, looks at what is there, and gives you honest advice on what is achievable.

02

Scope and consent

We set the scope, bring in an architect or engineer where the work needs one, and run the consent process where it is required.

03

Strip out

Cladding and linings come off and the real condition of the house shows up. If we find something, you get told the same day.

04

Build

Our carpenters run the job with the local trades we use on every project, and you have one point of contact throughout.

Straight answers

Renovations turn up surprises. When one turns up on your job you hear what it is, what it means, and what the options are.

Local trades and coastal materials

The same subcontractors and suppliers on every job, and materials chosen to hold up in salt air.

Dedicated project management

One person running the job, coordinating trades, consents and inspections, so you are not the one chasing them.

Bryce from Taylor Projects & Solutions is amazing to deal with. Keeps you informed, does what he says he is going to do. He even went round and checked on our place during the storms. Great guy.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

If yours is not here, call Bryce on 021 047 9020.

How long does a renovation usually take?

It depends on scope and what turns up once the linings are off. We give you a realistic programme after the site visit.

What happens if you find something unexpected once work starts?

It happens, particularly on older beachfront homes. You hear what we found, what it means for cost and programme, and what the options are, before we carry on.

Do renovations require council consent?

Some do. We manage the consent process where it is required.

Can we live in the house during the renovation?

Often yes, depending on the scope. We will tell you what is realistic for your job.

Do you build new homes as well?

Yes. We are also new home builders in Whangamatā.
