The Hauturu renovation was one of a kind. When we found unconventional rafters in the lower storey roof it called for a major rebuild. The team rebuilt the roof structure and gave the home a fresh look with new cladding and windows.
Inside, we re-insulated and updated the interior linings, and added an extension for the dining room that made a bright space and improved the flow through the house. The new layout brings the home up to date while keeping its original character.
It is a fair example of what the team does when a build turns up a problem nobody planned for.
Materials
Axon panel cladding and Shadowdeck Kwila decking outside. Inside, timber laminate flooring and a 20mm Primestone Babylon benchtop.
