You will be on real jobs from the start, working next to qualified carpenters rather than off on your own at the far end of a site.

What you need to bring

Willingness

No experience needed. Turn up, listen, and have a go.

Reliability

Builds run to a programme. Being there when you said you would be is most of it.

Transport

Getting yourself to sites around Whangamatā and the Coromandel.

Interest in the trade

We would rather train someone who actually wants to be a builder in ten years.
